Amazon S3 storage engine for MySQL, part II

In true LazyWeb fashion:

About a year ago, I blogged about the possibility of a MySQL storage engine which would utilize the Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3). Well folks, it looks like this year at the annual MySQL Conference, Mark Atwood will be presenting on A Storage Engine for Amazon S3.
