Great post. A related organization is the Village Enterprise Fund (http://www.villageef.org/public/about_us.html). They grant smaller amounts of seed capital ($100) instead of loan. The BYU show can be found on demand at http://www.byu.tv/ if you browse to Saturday, Mar 31, 12 am. It aired during Conference weekend over the internet.

I thought this program was tremendously inspiring. It's great to see people throughout the world be able to raise themselves out of poverty and provide for their families; all due to generous loan of what we in the states might consider a few dollars.
